VERSION 1.0 · AI USE: DECLARED STANDARD
The Transparency Pledge.
Publishing how something was made is an act of respect—for audiences, collaborators and the work itself. Everyone joining AI USE: DECLARED commits to these principles.
- 01
Tell the truth.
I will describe the role of AI accurately and will not minimise, exaggerate or conceal its contribution.
- 02
Choose the clearest badge.
When more than one category seems possible, I will choose the one that makes AI’s involvement most visible.
- 03
Give credit responsibly.
I will not use transparency badges to erase the work, rights or authorship of collaborators and source creators.
- 04
Keep the record current.
If the project or its process changes materially, I will update its disclosure.
- 05
Do not imply certification.
I understand that AI USE: DECLARED records a disclosure. It does not certify accuracy, legality, safety, quality or ownership.
- 06
Correct mistakes openly.
If I discover that a disclosure is misleading or wrong, I will correct it promptly rather than leave a false impression.
