Supporting the initiative means endorsing transparent AI use. It is separate from choosing badges for a project and does not require an account.

The EU AI Act requires machine-readable marking for certain AI-generated or manipulated outputs, together with human-readable disclosure in specific cases. These measures help machines and people recognise AI-generated content.
AI USE DECLARED has a different, complementary purpose: a voluntary, human-readable account of the role AI played across a project. It adds creative and organisational context that a technical mark or detector cannot provide.
It complements—not replaces—legal markings, provenance systems or any applicable obligation under Article 50 and the European Commission’s transparency guidelines.
